Gears of War 4 Campaign Gameplay Shows Marcus Fenix By Your Side

Calling all Gear heads! We are less than three months away from the release of the long anticipated Gears of War 4! Today, Microsoft released a new campaign gameplay video showcasing more footage of JD Fenix and team taking down the swarm. Only this time, Marcus Fenix is along for the ride. Check it out!

It was long predicted that Marcus would join the battlefield, as either a playable character or companion to escort the rest of the squad. By the looks of this gameplay, it looks like the COG once again need Marcus’ help and he isn’t backing down from a good fight. I really like that he is a part of this game even if he only acts as an escort, leading the COG in the right direction. Having his presence in the game is really important in my opinion. Before any details had even surfaced, my hope was that Gears of War 4 was a prequel to when Marcus was younger. I had always wanted him a part of this game so to have him present even in the smallest way, really makes me feel the sense that this game will take Gears of War back to its roots of having strong leading characters. Not to mention, we get more of Marcus’ dry sense of humor.

“Wow it’s that old? There’s hardly anything left that’s that old.”

“There are still a few things…”

Overall, this Gears of War 4 campaign gameplay has me excited to see a familiar face once again and I can’t wait to get my hands on this game. Also, don’t forget that if you haven’t made the jump to buying an Xbox One yet, Gears of War 4 is also getting its own themed console. Check out the new trailer!

The Gears of War 4 console is available for pre-order right now at your local game store for $449. You can also buy the Gears controller separately for $75.

Gears of War 4 releases October 11th! Will you be there taking down the swarm?  Stay tuned to SheAttack.com for all your Gears of War news.
