Team SoloMid Puts Out a Commanding Performance

This is probably the last week we will see mid lane Soraka and Bjergsen’s performance on her shows why. The constant Starcalls allowed TSM to have a very strong team fight. Combine that with Curse’s all AD team versus TSM’s heavy armor itemization made long engagements a poor choice for Curse.

Curse did put out a very strong performance. Despite being behind, Xpecial landing a very good Death Sentence on WildTurtle to give Curse the team fight and a Baron. This allowed them to grab turrets and even up the gold score. A disjointed team fight with Curse over focusing Bjergsen gave WildTurtle the ability to melt through the Curse line up with Rat-Ta-Tat-Tat.

Despite another good Death Sentence landed on WildTurtle in the late game and a Baron, Curse’s lack of range and wave clear kept them from making any significant headway. Voyboy tried to Flash into the back line of TSM to 100 to 0 WildTurtle and Gleeb, but Gleeb was able to react well with a great Zyra ultimate to give Twitch enough time to lay down the damage. This lead to Team SoloMid getting Baron and the win.

COL vs LMQ

ackerman Shows He’s Still Godlike

LMQ is bringing the same strong game play they displayed while on the Challenger scene. Teams have to be worried about ackerman on Shyvana. He’s now 3-0 on the champion and has been able to show being able to not only play her well while ahead but also from behind.

One has to question of Malphite pick for Westrice. The theory was that Malphite could dive into the back line and disrupt Twitch. Combine that with the duo assassins of Kassadin and Kha’Zix, this looked liked the team comp to take out Twitch. The issue? Malphite was picked after seeing the Shyvana lock in. Westrice was never able to get to get Malphite rolling against ackerman’s Shyvana.

Despite getting first blood, compLexity was never in the driver’s seat of the match. Over aggression from their bot lane ended with a triple for ackerman as he Teleported in. While compLexity said these first few matches would be rough, the team is really going to need work on their shot calling. Their vision control was lacking and they consistently were getting out rotated by LMQ.

Frightening thing about this LMQ squad is their ability to show that everyone is able to carry. In their first game it was Vasilii, in their second it was XiaoWeiXiao, and in this game it was Vasilii and ackerman. It is looking very likely that LMQ will finish this week 4-0.

DIG vs EG

Despite Rough Patches Team Dignitas Looks Very Strong

The Team Dignitas Baron Throw shows itself as they play against Evil Geniuses. Despite looking very strong in their split opener yesterday versus compLexity, Dignitas shows some of their notorious bad habits today. Dignitas started off the match extremely strong, opening the match up with a 2-0 Jax. The early lane phase was a win for them as well. Altec, the new ADC for EG, wasn’t looking very good in his LCS debut match.

But back to back

DIG vs C9

Team Dignitas Beats Cloud 9 for the Upset of Super Week

Doubts have been placed on the new Team Dignitas. In their first two games, despite winning, the DIG boys have looked very shaky. In the early game, Cloud 9 looked very strong in the laning phase. The lane losing for Cloud 9 was the bot lane of Sneaky and Lemonnation to the surprisingly strong bot lane of Imaqtpie and KiWiKid.

Dignitas had control of the match the entire time. Cloud 9 just seemed to be in poor form. Balls was not the oppressive force on Trundle that he has known to be. Meteos looked to be absent as his presence wasn’t felt in ganks. While it is too early to count this C9 squad out, this game was definitely very troubling.

If you can pick up Crumbz, Shiphtur, or Zion Spartan for your Fantasy LCS team I would strongly recommended it.
