Petitioners Plead With Microsoft To Bring Back Xbox One’s Restrictive Features

There is a petition dedicated to convincing Microsoft to bring back the initial features that were, ultimately, scraped for the Xbox One. The creator of the petition, David Fontenot, states in the petition description,

“This was to be the future of entertainment. A new wave of gaming where you could buy games digitally, then trade, share or sell those digital licenses. Essentially, it was Steam for Xbox. But consumers were uninformed, and railed against it, and it was taken away because Sony took advantage of consumers uncertainty.

We want this back. It can’t be all or nothing, there must be a compromise.”

I was one of the many people that campaigned against the restrictive features outlined in the original framework for the Xbox One, but this petition brought too much hilarity not to mention. In case you were genuinely excited about the original features of the Xbox One, this one’s for you kid. Otherwise, the rest of us can get a quick chuckle out of this.
