So Much to See
When I first heard rumors flying around about a The Sims 4 expansion I thought to myself, “hmm, this seems like a good idea, but I’ll wait for a confirmation.” Next thing I know, they announced The Sims 4: City Living. This is the 3rd expansion pack of the Sims 4 series. From what I’ve gathered from the creators, it took them an extremely long time to complete and it’s been packed full of fun adventures for you and your Sims to enjoy. Let’s dive into just a few of those, shall we?
EA kicked off 2016’s E3 week with its new EA Play event and sports games played a major part of the conference. Madden and Fifa 17 scored much of the presenters’ time and for good reason. Both franchises are two of Electronic Arts’ biggest money makers. Madden has had its ups and downs over the years, but Madden 16 overcame great strides with new modes like Draft Champions and gameplay changes with juke moves – all of this taking advantage of the brand new Frostbite engine. Here’s the full breakdown of all of the modes and features within Madden 17 that we know so far.
EA ended its E3 press conference Sunday with showing heavily anticipated Battlefield 1. Dice took the stage and talked about their huge ambitions for Battlefield 1, which they described as an “epic and dynamic experience” for players.
Do Munchkins Return in The Sims?
Holy Mrs. Crumplebottom! Do I spy with my little eye toddlers in The Sims 4? In October, a beacon of hope set Twitter ablaze. Fans of the Sims series and Sims 4, in particular, were elated to find the greatest thing since Fallout 4 news staring back at them. Gracing their Twitter feeds was a beautifully rendered picture of a Sims 4 family. The photo featured a mother, a father, a baby and…a toddler! Fans were over the moon!
When Sims 4 came out on September 2, 2014 Electronic Arts’ focus shifted to promoting the brand new game. Despite the updated game, a lot of avid simmers have decided to stick with Sims 3. It seems like Electronic Arts hasn’t forgotten about the outdated game just yet either. A few days ago, they announced that there would be an update to the game that would add extra features to the launcher. With the update installed, at start up you can choose what expansion and stuff packs you want to load into the game when you press play. I’m sure that it’s an attempt to lessen lag and keep things a bit more organized once you’re actually in game, but from what I’ve heard, many fans are not pleased with this update.
“They aspire to match my magnificence! Let them try!,” the ghost of the notorious debonair assassin Ezio Auditore scoffs breaking into hysterical laughter.
Careful Ezio, too much ego leads to a hero’s downfall.
He laughs for an eternity it seems, then abruptly pulls his beaked hood over his finely sculpted face. A smirk softens his now darkly stoic appearance as he remarks, “Meglio essere felici in questa vita che aspirare a esserlo nella prossima.”
Ezio was no stranger to living his one extraordinary life to the fullest and EA takes our favorite fictional friend’s savant advice to heart. The third top video game publisher in the world is certainly not waiting for another life to acquire ultimate happiness. EA, a.k.a Electronic Arts are well recognized for fun light games such as The Sims franchise and Plants Vs. Zombies and sports game franchises Need for Speed and Fifa. EA isn’t content having best-selling game franchises to their name! The 4.5 million company plans to go head first into sandbox territory to create a game to match the likes of the Assassin’s Creed and GTA franchises.
A New Expansion
Hey The Sims fans, are you ready for another expansion pack? If you are then you’re in luck! EA recently announced that they are going to be releasing a new expansion: The Sims 4 Get Together. This will be the second EP for the Sims 4.
Some of you may have stayed up late (or gotten up early) for EA’s opener at Gamescom. They made various livestreams to watch it from, including one on their own site. If you didn’t watch it, have a look here because it is a doozy. It is an hour long, but it’s worth watching. It’s like they had a party while they were introducing the games (and at one point they did start a party for real).
It’s mid-June, which means that yet another E3 has come and gone. Gamers across the globe tuned into online live stream conferences to get their fix on the biggest gaming news and announcements of the year. From long awaited new entries into cult favorite series such as Kingdom Hearts and Mirror’s Edge, to info on new IPs like The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn, this year’s E3 was packed with all kinds of games for almost any fan. Here’s a look at 10 games to watch from E3 2015:
Fans of the cult DICE developed parkour title Mirror’s Edge celebrated today as EA officially confirmed its sequel will be released in early 2016.
