Rockstar Games has been teasing us the past few days, releasing pictures and information bit by bit about Red Dead Redemption 2. Suspense had been building among fans up until today with the release of the new Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal trailer and… it was short, really short! It does look amazing though. Check out the trailer here and don’t blink!:
Graphically, this is a beautiful looking game. Knowing Rockstar’s track record, this game will stun and amaze even if there is technically a graphical “downgrade.” I’m a huge fan of the first Red Dead Redemption and often think of it as the most impressive game of last generation. This trailer doesn’t tell us much about where the story is going but I anticipate we will learn more as the days go by. Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release Fall of 2017 but it is possible for this game to be delayed, especially if it comes to PC. People are wondering if this game will come to PC at all since only PS4 and Xbox One are announced thus far. Only time will tell! I just know I’m excited for this game and can’t wait to play it.

Lara Croft is back this November in Rise of The Tomb Raider and here is the latest trailer showing a thought provoking lesson in exploration. Very subtly and beautifully, we see Lara depicted as an explorer with child like wonder and even more importantly, a seeker of truth.

NBA2K15 is out today and naturally gamers want to try out the new face scan feature in the game’s character customization(as shown above). One problem: It isn’t working very well and is making customized players look like the MonStars from Space Jam.

I’ve noticed that whenever an author writes a first impressions or review for a game, it can be hard for readers to trust what they are saying or take it seriously because the author’s background with the game or even the genre isn’t specified. When it comes to shooters like Call of Duty especially, I’d like to know: Did they pick this franchise up for the first time or have they been playing it since the beginning? Do they even like shooters? Are their likes and dislikes about this particular franchise similar to mine?

To add insult to injury for those already not impressed with the announcement of the New Nintendo 3DS this past week, Nintendo has now told Gamespot that the New 3DS will be region-locked. This comes as no surprise since this has been a policy on Nintendo hardware for quite a while. What this policy means is that if you were to buy a New 3DS in say, Japan, you can only play games made in that territory with that hardware. You cannot play imported games.

After Braum was released, Riot promised us that the next champion release would be a Top laner. I was fairly excited. Even though I knew it wasn’t going to turn out this way, but I was really hoping it was going to be Ao Shin. Visually, he would have been something totally different to the Top lane. But, that would end up not to be. Instead we got Gnar, the Missing Link.
In an interview with OXM UK, Rod Fergusson, studio manager at Black Tusk, commented on the next Gears of War and the direction it’s headed. “I always talk about shipping a sequel to customers as ‘managing betrayal’,” Fergusson said, “they want something new but they don’t want something so new that it doesn’t feel like what they want.'” He also went on to say that he has given multiple speeches to the Black Tusk team on what is the “core tenets” of Gears and what they won’t be changing, along with a list of opportunities to innovate in which he thinks they can “knock out of the park.”
