Last night, Respawn announced that the Titanfall beta sign-ups were open at 6pm PST and the beta would drop on Friday, Feb. 14th with users to be notified if they were accepted for the beta no later than Feb 17. So drop all your valentines day plans this weekend, because the Titanfall beta is coming in hot and sexy! Need I mention, the The Last of Us “Left Behind” DLC is arriving on valentines day as well. It’s safe to say that my boyfriend and I have a valentines date gaming!

In a nutshell, Titanfall looks fun and exciting. Some lucky gamers have already accessed the beta early and I had the chance to check out some livestreams of the beta as well as a lot of the new footage that was posted today. Here is a video from Xbox showing off the game modes in Titanfall:

In the video, we see updated gameplay as well as learn that there are three modes in Titanfall: Attrition, Hardpoint Domination, and Last Titan Standing. Attrition is essentially Team Deathmatch. Hardpoint Domination is a mode in which you have to capture points (A, B, and C) on the map and hold them, while Last Titan Standing is a game mode where everyone has one life and no respawns. These are pretty basic game modes and as of now, these are the only ones confirmed.

There are also two maps you can play on in the beta which is good because playing on one map can get old, fast. With the final game only about a month away, the beta for Titanfall should satisfy anxious gamers for the moment and give us an idea of how smoothly the game runs. I look forward to everyone’s opinions and impressions. Titanfall releases March 11 for Xbox One and PC, and on March 25 for Xbox 360.

If you have not yet already, register for the beta here. Space is limited, good luck!

Will Titanfall be your valentine this valentines weekend? What are you looking forward to most in Titanfall? Tell us!
