2022 Genesis G80 Sport unveiled with AWD and rear-wheel steering
The incident of the South Korean luxury car maker has revealed the first image of its 2022 G80 sport, a more sportsial version and more lively than the second generation G80 brand launched in 2020. Showing a number of fine design cues but SPURRIER, we do not imagine the G80 sport revealed BMW 540i, although it can make a Beemer anxious with pleasant Cavendish red paint.
However, Genesis has not spilled all the beans, but it does reveal what is in the store. Sports 2022 G80 has a special three-dimensional wing front bumper, a dark glossy chrome radiator grille, and a black bezel around the quad headlights.
Unlike other ‘sports’ models that replace all shiny exterior bits with black or dark accents, G80 sports remain loyal to the roots of luxury by deactivating (instead of eliminating) Bling. This proof is a side mold. In regular G80, the side mold in bright chrome. But in the sports G80, you get a dark chrome to give genesis which refers to the ‘athletic elegance.’
Behind, it also got a special rear bumper, a new rear diffuser, and a dark chrome mold on the luggage lid. Also proven is a 4WD badge in the baggage and multiple exhaust. “Genesis G80 Sport provides the best value to customers who want to enjoy the perfect balance of ‘athletic elegance’ from the G80 combined with a more dynamic driving experience,” added the incident.
What we don’t like is a 20-inch dark alloy wheel with a g-matrix pattern, but we like red and black rear brake calipers. Inside, g80 sports are available in three exclusive interior colors, including black monotonous cabins with gray or red stitches and Sevilla Red. Yes, you can have red G80 sports with red interior if you can’t get enough bloody colors.
Under the tent, expect a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged v6 engine which is equal to 375 horsepower and 391 pound of torque. It will also have the same eight-speed automatic gearbox to send power to the four wheels.
It is also equipped with rear wheel steering to improve high-speed handling and low speed maneuverability, similar to what you will find in the Mercedes S-Class or Audi RS6 Avant. 2022 Genesis G80 Sport will be officially launched in the third quarter of 2021.
