Assassin’s Creed Infinity live service game confirmed as future of the franchise
Earlier today, Bloomberg has published an interesting report in which Ubisoft envisaged that Ubisoft was considering transmitting the Creeped Assasine series to a live service model rather than release new games every two years. What followed after the report was probably even more interesting, while Ubisoft has abandoned the official confirmation of the game in our towers. Then Assassin Creed Infinity is indeed a real thing, although according to Ubisoft, the match is still at the beginning of development.
Unfortunately, Ubisoft’s announcement today does not include tons of detail on the game. Instead, it mainly covers that will be responsible for infinity, with Ubisoft’s Montreal and Quebec Studios, collaborating on the project Under the direction of Marc-Alexis Côté, who was named Executive Producer of the Creeped Assassin Franchise. Julien Laferrière de Ubisoft Montreal will be the main producer of the game. At the same time, Jonathan Dumont and Clint Hocking will serve as co-creative directors and supervise the Ubisoft Quebec teams respectively and Ubisoft Montreal.
Ubisoft has confirmed today that the infinity of Creeped Infinity of Assassin is still an “Early Development Project” and also revealed that the Infinity Moniker is just a code name for the game. Both teams have a history of Develop assassin credo titles, as well as people who have received management positions on this game.
“Rather than continuing to pass the game Baton to the match, we deeply believe that it is an opportunity for one of Ubisoft’s most expensive franchises to evolve more integrated and more collaborative which is less centered on Studios and more focused on talents and leadership. No matter where they are in Ubisoft, “said the company in today’s announcement.
Of course, the Bloomberg report earlier today painted a rather fragile image, revealing a certain degree of conflict between the development teams at Ubisoft’s Montreal and Quebec Studios. The Sources of Bloomberg also suggested that Ubisoft’s response to sexual harassment and allegations of high-level frameworks was not good enough, which was not mentioned in the announcement of Ubisoft today .
So, it seems like the future of the Creeped of Assassin Franchise is a live service. Ubisoft says it will have more details about infinity and the new content for the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the future, so we will keep an ear on the ground for more. However, given the infinity of Creeped Infinity of the Assassin, and assuming that Bloomberg’s internal problems are actually precise – we will probably not hear more about infinity for a while.
