Sharad Kelkar Starrer ‘Har Har Mahadev’ Will Stream Exclusively on ZEE5

In recent years, there have been a slew of films about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the establishment of the Hindavi Swarajya. The film Har Har Mahadev is a new addition to the list. Apart from the larger-than-life narration, the historical drama discusses the human side of a great warrior, Baji Prabhu Deshpande. He is betrayed by his brother, dying to reclaim his son’s respect and waiting to prove his love for Swarajya.

The narrative delves into the unknown aspects of one of history’s greatest warriors, which deserve to be told. The film was released in theaters on October 25, 2022, and received positive reviews from critics and audiences for its cast’s performance (particularly Kelkar and Bhave), Deshpande’s direction, writing, cinematography, visual effects, and emotional impact.

Abhijeet Deshpande wrote and directed the film, which was produced by ZEE Studios and Shri Ganesh Marketing and Films. Har Har Mahadev‘s star cast includes Subodh Bhave, who plays Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Sharad Kelkar portraying the role of Baji Prabhu Deshpande, with Amruta Khanvilkar, Nishigandha Wad, Sayali Sanjeev, Hardeek Joshi, Milind Shinde, Kishore Kadam, Nitish Chavan, and Ashok Shinde in supporting roles. Plot

The film is based on the actual battle of Pavan Khind from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life, in which a small team of a few hundred Marathas (Shivaji’s soldiers) led by Baji Prabhu Deshpande fought against thousands of Bijapur Sultanate soldiers. The Marathas fought for over five to six hours in this battle, ensuring Shivaji Maharaj’s safe passage to Vishalgad. Baji Prabhu was killed during this battle.
