University of Melbourne Law School
Melbourne Law School is the 6th best law school in the world and one popular destination among the law aspirants. Aspirants planning to pursue the course are required to have a complete law degree from a well-known University with some amount of legal work experience. Alone the degree will not serve any purpose unless and until aspirants have not secured good marks.
For international students, the required score in IELTS is 6.5 and TOEFL is 577 + TWE 4.5. Pearson Test of English with 58 marks or 176 marks in CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) from Cambridge University will also do wonders during the admission process. Admission fees vary from year to year, but this year the total fees will sum up to $44, 416. Fees for per credit point subject will come up to $5, 552.
Sydney Law School – University of Sydney
This university offers UG level law programs. The tuition fee for the first year is fees of INR 17, 71, 900. Student’s amenities and other services will add INR 13, 755 to the total expenses incurred. International students need to score 110 marks in TOEFL with a minimum result of 24 in reading, to listen, to speak and 25 in writing. Students appearing for IELTS should score 7.5.
The university has three different kinds of scholarships which are completely merit-based and there are no special requirements. There are FORK TIP Women Innovation Scholarships which are only for women. The Brokerfish and Go clean scholarships are eligible for both genders.
University of New South Wales
Started its journey in 1949, it’s an open gate university which has two research centres with upto 400 researchers. All the aspirants are required to appear in the law admission test right after completing their HSC from a recognized board. On-time applications close at the end of September every year. The fee keeps on updating every year, so it is difficult to give an exact figure. Estimated, $7, 802 is the fee for the first year excluding other expenses. The fee pattern also depends on the student’s contribution to the university.
TC Beirne School of Law – University of Queensland
Located in St. Lucia, this university offers a 4-year program commencing with two semesters. The first semester will commence 24th February 2020, and the second semester will commence on 27th July 2020. This course comprises 64 units. For a domestic student, the eligibility would be a certificate from NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement) in level 3 or IB score of 37. All the International applicants need to apply to an agent in the student’s country. The student’s country agent will provide the fee details and other information. Students residing in New Zealand and within Australia will be charged with the domestic fee structure.
Monash University at Law Chambers
This university offers a full-time course for four years with its tuition fees in the first year for around INR 16 lakhs. The law component of this degree is recognised by the Council of Legal education. The Tuition fee doesn’t include other amenities charges which are for INR 7, 69, 053. This University requires 94 as TOEFL marks for International admission and for IELTS it expects at least 7 marks. Students with 58 marks in PTE are equally eligible to apply.
Applicants should have completed a minimum of one year’s equivalent full-time study in an undergraduate or higher degree. It also offers a scholarship for excellent performance in student’s academics with INR 4, 90, 100. If the student has an ATAR of 98.00+, he/she will be automatically considered for a scholarship. Usually, the scholarship is offered to the ten highest achievers in Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate.
